I believe that i got infected. Its the virus that disbles , your email virus scanning. Also it sends out a details.pif or a file with a .src extension. I believe it may have send it out. I got an email back from some1 I dont know, saying that i sent it to them. If you get ANYTHING from me, which i doubt you will, saying anything odd (Screensaver, details, application, etc.) Do NOT open it. I got 2 dozen emails today, all loaded with it. I deleted them. One of them was from tintin. Anyway, just be careful.

Heh,
I sent you an email last night. That virus was not from me. The virus fakes the senders address. So either I am in the person who sent it to yous address book, or it got my address off the web. If you look in the email header you can see the ip address of who really sent it to you.

It fakes NAMES and IP#s..............
The companys that complained to me got it not from me but someone who had my address in a mail list or out of the headers from saved mail.
If you EVER get email from me I will ASK on the forum IM first befor send out mail.....and it is checked for bugs befor it goes out also.
I went thru this crap 4 year ago when some body got "cut off the microphone" durring our Radio program.
He got PI*SED and sent the Newsgroup a bug and more that 175 people got messed up...people kept shareing the bug until they listen to me and got another mail server that had protection in it.

Oh...why do you need to SCAN for bugs...don't you have your AV program ALWAYS running?
Mine runs even when useing MSN IM or playing VC.
In fact I NEVER turn it off even if I am instaling Windows updates!
And if I am acting as a SERVER it is always runing.

The Best AV so Far. Grisofts. AVG 6.0 Pro Trend Micro. AV(Free Online Scanner!) moosoft's- The Cleaner Anyone of those are great!- especially if you have it "registered" For those pesky virri/worms that cant be deleted "Access Denied" try renaming it and the extension i.e.- asdf.asdf- then Delete it- works most of the time. Or rename and delete with EE(Evidence Elimnator) That virri that is being passed around is actually a worm. hides in your c:\WINNT c:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 Hides in there as .exe and a reg file i think. AVG mentioned above detects it.- the Online Housecall thats FREE from TrendMicro DETECTS it and CLEANS/DELETES it. cya laterz-goin to post a game i had last night- it was some no0b or a developer bhind a fake gamename
